Summary: Musse Egret

Think twice and play nice

Vivid-minded and secretive, Musse has taken special interest in the New Class VII. She brings with her Virgo, a water-elemental master quartz that increases the odds of critical damage from arts. Arts Celebration, which spots some EP to the party and drastically cuts the costs to cast arts, is a fantastic gift of a Brave Order to caster teams. Musse's orbal rifle has an impressive range of 6, although it is single-target. Musse's ARCUS II is single-line, with two mandatory water slots and one space slot. She has decent speed for a caster and very nice arts strength and arts defense. Physical stats are lacking, and she should avoid the frontline. Her link skills provide healing and resurrection for those receiving damage through Auto-Tear and Auto-Thelas. The attack crafts Musse has have remarkable range and utility. However, they are quite expensive to cast, and do not deal a lot of break damage.

Build 1: Anti-Mage

Spellbinding ♥

Seemingly unorthodox at first because Musse's generic attack is not too devastating, this build aims to maximize magic evasion and counter arts and other magic-based misses from long range without fail to trigger a link attack. This can be used to burst and break, or to farm brave points off of attacks that physical evasion tanks aren't dodging well, without compromising Musse's abilities to deliver as a mixed caster. Master Quartz: Line 1: Oberon is great on Musse because everything it provides gets put to use - the debuff immunity enables her to choose accessories that will maximize arts strength and magic evasion without fear of shutdown. Sorcerer's Gloves is a must to push magic evasion to 100%, while Still Blue or the late-game rarity Rozen Crown provide a massive boost to arts strength. Wind master quartz come with a set of mid-range AoE healing and abnormality dispelling so that Musse doesn't need to rely as heavily on her Craft Points to heal. Deva provides more magic evasion in the sub slot while giving Musse more support options with Chrono Drive and Chrono Break, and near full maturity, Chrono Burst can be useful to get off multiple Sapphirl Rains if the team is in a very grim situation. Sennin Gem gives Musse Tearal and Athelas for heavy single-target heals and resurrection in addition to magic evasion from its reageant Shield 3. Deus Gem and Sapphirl Gem allow Musse a long-lasting EP pool without relying heavily on her Brave Order or replenishing items, although HP 3 can be used as a fallback for the blue slot just to keep Musse tanky if the first recommendation is unavailable. Sevenfold Gem gives the essential dynamics of impede and delay to her wide-reaching crafts. Rage is there for the guaranteed critical on counter, although Musse appreciates the 100% accuracy and 10% physical evasion granted. Storm Bell reduces wind arts delay even further than Oberon alone, and Musse can rack up immense damage with all tiers of wind arts and completely restore the team by exploiting Divine Song before she finally surrenders her turn to the next in line. Diabolos Gem is an appropriate alternative to hasten the execution of any element.
